Destroy my life

Destroy my life

Vanish all my pain

Life's no fun

Sitting in the rain

Wonder where you are

Don't know if you still care

But wishing you were here

Writer's Note: The Poetry Archive has been created as an effort to reflect upon how people change; creatively, emotionally, spiritually. As we grow and live, we develop and mature. Most of the pieces in my Poetry Archive are almost 10 years old and I admit that many of them are not good or interesting poems or reflections. Some of the things I'll share here are just plain awful, in idea and end result. They should, however, give you the reader a couple of opportunities: you get to see how I have grown from a stuttering teenager into the more prolific adult that I am today; and you get to take a deeper look into your own soul, remember what it was like to be 16 and 17 years old, and reflect upon how you have changed over the past few months, years, or decades. Here, I will share with you things that have been put aside for years - they're not active parts of my life today, but certainly influenced the way I set the foundation for my future. Note specific to this piece: I have no idea what I was thinking.
